Locked Out

It's a lot easier to tell your roommates you'll call them when you're locked out of your apartment in the middle of the night than to actually do it...so I found out the hard way.
I guess that's what I get for not taking my key with me, though. We have a rule that the last person in locks the door at night. Buuuut it's kind of hard to know if you're the last one home or not, right? Right. So unfortunately for me, I was the last one home but was thought to not be the last one home. So then I had two choices- go outside, sneakily pop my screen out and try to jimmy the window open and scare the crap out of my roommate, call and wake up one of my roommates, or go back to the apartment upstairs. So of course I chose the latter-much simpler, and I didn't wake any sleeping people because I'm an idiot.
Luckily Jace in 36 was nice enough to donate their couch to my cause, since he knew I had class at eight thirty this morning and REALLY needed somewhere to sleep, at least till 6:30 when my roomies woke up. So I went to bed in jeans and a t-shirt, with my makeup on, my contacts in, on a couch my legs almost fit on...haha. I wish I could say I fell asleep and then woke up at 6:30 and came back down to my room, but no...
The lights in the kitchen came on at four thirty and I woke up extremely confused to find Tyler cooking eggs. Yes, eggs. At four thirty in the morning. So I sat up and asked what he was doing, naturally. He yelled and asked me what the heck I was doing on his couch in the middle of the night, almost dropping his food in the process. Oops.
Well, he felt bad he was out in my space with the lights on, music on, and doing homework, so he offered me his now unoccupied bed. Which I took, since he really was rather loud and the couch was not comfortable at all and I only had two more hours of my exile left.
Turns out his roommate talks and sings in his sleep. Which was very entertaining, but not conducive to getting a good night's sleep. Anyway, I managed to get a little bit of sleep before Nicky called me and let me know she had unlocked the door. I booked it out of there before Wyatt realized I was not Tyler, and then I thanked Tyler for letting me borrow his bedroom and apologized for scaring the crap out of him.
Anyway, Lauren came up with a fabulous solution to the lockout problem- we are going to make a Weasley familiy clock like in Harry Potter and each person moves their hand to where they are at! Genius, I know.
I think it's time for me to go home and take a nice, long nap to make up for the two and half hours I got last night. Preferably in my own room ;)
